Sometimes, a business environment can be challenging because of surrounding noise elements. I suggested we do an educational video since auto repair tends to have less consumer trust than other industries. Viewers can get to know the owner. This video is on their Facebook business page and I’ve set up a Facebook ad using it as well (has had over 18,500 views and watched in its entirety at a cost of 1 cent per view.)
I scripted and shot this video to showcase both the home and Frank’s message about the home buying process,showing his knowledge. I added lower-thirds text to augment what Frank is saying and music to soften his tone and keep viewers watching longer.
Viewers look for something eyecatching, especially on Instagram or Facebook, so showing Frank using the pot-filler, wearing an apron, makes them stop to watch. That gives Frank’s brand visibility as well as showing off this luxury home for sale.
In this video, the focus is on the subject, Tom, and his message of being an approachable and knowledgeable REALTOR by answering a common question. Note, no mic was used as this was an impromptu shoot (I use a mic 100% of the time). It shows you how critical a mic is to good quality video.
The main reason viewers say they stop watching a video is because of bad sound quality. I shot and edited this video, including graphics to address the vertical black bars that you see in so many videos these days. These conversational videos, when made into Facebook ads, reach 12,000 to 30,000 viewers at a cost of less than 20 cents per landing page view.
Probably THE most important element of creating a video is having a clear, compelling message that hooks the viewer. I worked with Cathy and Reg on honing their message to fellow agents on how their brokerage can help agents make more money.
I scripted a 3 video series, one building on the next, varying the environment to visually reflect the message. We did a dry run to make sure they were familiar with tone and delivery as well as message content. I was not present at the shooting (done by an Albuquerque cameraman), although I will be in all future video shoots. He also did the editing on this one.
